In order to save conventional energy and reduce pollution, we can take advantage of the abundant biomass resources and convert it into gas through thermal chemical gasification for power generation, which will realize the efficient & clean utilization of biomass and achieve the goal of energy conservation and emissions reduction.

Along with the process of gasification power generation, different kinds of biomass also can bring augmented products with economic benefits, such like biomass vinegar (vinegar) and the biomass carbon which is used to control the furnace material carbonization rate to be around 50%-60%. It could bring more economic benefits to the user.

System Introduction

Biomass gasification internal combustion power generation system is mainly composed of gasifier, gas purification systems and internal combustion generator, etc. Biomass is converted into gas through thermal chemical gasification inside the furnace. In order to meet the requirements of long-term and reliable operation of the gas engine, the gas need to be cooled and purified so that the gas temperature is reduced to below 40℃, and dust content of tar is within 30mg/Nm3. After purification, the gas enters into internal combustion engine for power generation.

I. Fluidized bed gasification power generation system

Biomass is discharged into the fluidized-bed gasification furnace continuously by the feeder. Heated by the high temperature (700~800℃) circulating bed material, the biomass has the pyrolysis reaction & gasification reaction with the air from the bottom in the furnace, and is converted into combustible gas similar to coal gas. The calorific value is more than 1100kcal/Nm3. With gas purification technology, the dust and tar in the gas is effectively treated and collected. The clean gas enters the internal combustion engine modified for low-quality gas fuel for parallel power generation.

Power Plant Scale :200KW~12MW

Technical Features:

Wide adaptability to the raw materials, raw materials with size below 4cm can be efficiently gasified.

Gasification thermal efficiency (≥ 85%), with high degree of automation.

The power output of single unit gasification equipment can reach more than 7MW.

II. Fixed bed gasification power generation system

Biomass raw material is added into the fixed bed furnace from the top. After drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction process, the combustible gas is generated together with the biomass carbon. After the high-value-added products such like tar and acetic acid are separated from the gas in the purification system, the gas is cooled down to below 40℃, dehydrated and then is fed into the combustion engine for stable power output. The electricity is transmitted to the national grid or used as captive power supply for the private factories. The temperature of the flue gas from the engine is above 450℃, which can be used for central heating or raw materials drying.

Power plant scale: 100KW~6MW

Technical features:

When rice husk, wood chips and other biomass materials are adopted, it can produce augmented products with economic benefits --- biomass carbon.

The plant operation is simple, and the workers only need simple training.

The layout of equipment is flexible, easy to start/stop.
